Apparently the UK borrowed £18bn in August 2026 - far more than expected, according to financial experts; and we all should be very concerned. This amount is described as being the difference between income and expenditure; so an unauthorised overdraft, perhaps? But: from whom did the UK "borrow" this £18bn? Did the banks have a whip-round? Will the loan have to be repaid at the end of the month? Or are we looking at something else? #MMT

@Bahnblogstelle@mastodon.social Wann begreift die #spd #werhatunsverraten endlich, dass es niemandem im Land besser geht, wenn man künstlich Waren oder Dienstleistungen verbilligt? Wohlstand entsteht, wenn der Staat Geld ins Land kippt, um brachliegende Ressourcen zu aktivieren. Die Preise bestimmt der Markt. Aber mit wie viel Geld die Staatsinsassen über den Markt schlendern können, das bestimmt der Staat. Das haben die #spd und viele andere bis heute nicht begriffen. #mmt #fdp
