“This thesis explores how an inclusive horticultural social enterprise supports individuals with diverse abilities by providing meaningful work, social connections, and engagement with
#nature. Using participatory action research and ethnographic methods, the study examines themes of inclusion, choice, and community participation. Findings highlight both the benefits and challenges of such initiatives, including governance issues and the need to balance social care with financial
#sustainability.

#GreenCare social enterprises can help address social exclusion by reducing barriers to participation and fostering
#resilience. However, structural and policy changes are necessary to fully integrate these initiatives into broader social and health care systems. The study advocates for more inclusive, community-based approaches that empower individuals while maintaining ethical and environmental sustainability.”
