Cromwellian Commonwealth's Plans for Ireland It seems lands seized by the Commonwealth Regime would be used in order to pay off their soldiers, debtors, etc. The Catholic Irish were to be completely removed from any pink land and moved to Connacht. All islands in this region was cleared of the Irish, plus a one-mile-wide strip of land all over the coast. Veterans who moved to Ireland were expected to keep their arms and act as a militia? Irish Times: "Growing up, the word ‘lesbian’ was not really being said out loud" (interview with Cara Holmes) “Yeah, just that isolation,” she says. “I was growing up in the 1980s and the 1990s, and the word ‘lesbian’ was not really being said out loud too many times. So I can only imagine that, back in the late 1970s and early 1980s, it was just nowhere. Where do you go to if you are feeling that your sexuality is different to pretty much everyone else’s?” https://www.irishtimes.com/culture/film/2026/07/27/lesbian-lines-director-cara-holmes-growing-up-the-word-lesbian-was-not-really-being-said-out-loud/ https://archive.ph/l54ah #IE #Ireland #Mastodaoine #LGBT #LGBTQIA #LGBT #Lesbian

Looking remarkably like you need a set of watchmakers screwdrivers are these fossilized crinoids, brachiopods, and bryozoans. Do zoom in btw! 🔍 Body parts of ancient marine creatures that lay scattered here on an ocean floor over 300 million years ago. Irish Times: Thousands attend transgender and intersex pride march in Dublin ‘Our bodies, our lives, our right to decide’: demonstrators call for bodily autonomy and better access to healthcare 1 - can you imagine this piece in the UK Times? It'd never happen. 2 - a name or two I recognise in there from Trans Healthcare Action. https://www.irishtimes.com/ireland/social-affairs/2026/07/11/thousands-attend-transgender-and-intersex-pride-march-in-dublin/ https://archive.ph/pQ6Gj #Trans #Pride #LGBTQIA #IE #Ireland
