Apparently the weekend's trip still keeps on giving. My bank Nordea decided to block my card because it had "suspicious activity from abroad". Which was taxi charges from all the moving around we did in Belfast. It's such a shit system where they can just decide "LOL, no more card use for you!" and there's no way to unblock it myself. First I had to talk to a fucking piece of shit chat bot that jerked me around with the FAQ answer stuff until I finally got to talk to a real person who instantly saw what had happened. After dealing with the problem they started selling me some saving packages and suggested I get another card from them. Yeah, I prefer to have my backup credit card from another bank so I won't be left stranded somewhere when Nordea decides to have a system malfunction or just not to play ball that day. And absolutely fuck any service provider who has a support line where I'm forced to contact them and then them starting to push their products or "a quick call so we can chart which of our products would benefit you!" #frustration #rant #bank

#Twitch is AMAZING at detecting #frustration! Their #Algorithm just showed me an #Ad, right after getting banned for seemingly/reasonably benign reasons. just a little issue, that could've been figured out by competent mods Twitch continues to be a hostile platform, where reason doesn't seem to count 1 single bit. Biz as usual, i guess. ...why do i even bother; i have amazing DJ sets at home - i haven't found Gelbar DJ in Jeff's thing, yet ..their Synthwave Workout Mixes are CHOICE!

I really like #LibreOffice, and I like supporting #foss software (and I really really don't like microsoft). Write is great. Calc gets it done. #impress, however, is half functional and half a dumpster fire of anti-usability. So many basic things require half a dozen clicks or just can't be done in bulk, which means they often require literally hundreds of clicks in a presentation, while digging into menus over and over. Impress is going to give me RSI all by itself. I sometimes find references to far more usable options in previous versions, and that makes it even more frustrating. If you are here to tell me about a simple 13-step process to set up what should be available by default, I'm open to it but will forget it on other machines or when I upgrade this one. If you are here to make a comment that boils down to "so you hate open software?" or "So you would prefer Microsoft?" you will be blocked for lack of critical thinking and reading comprehension. #vent #frustration

Yesterday, I told @VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social that I did not experience too much frustration in the allotment. Today, all my tomato plants were dead, the pumpkin and zucchini were infected with severe mildew, and my raspberries and runner beans seem to stop producing. What kind of retort is "you must be fun at parties" is supposed to be? Am I supposed to feel completely pwned by it? I was having a conversation about specific NVR HDD brands and a nameless Internet person claims their beloved brand does not use brand X. I tell them they definitely do in some products. They reply that they have been in the business for 5 years and they know that brand is not used. I reply I've been 20 years in business and here's a picture of an opened brand new device with brand X HDD inside. "You must be fun at parties". I guess backing up claims with proof makes me a party killer. #frustration
