I'm pretty sure the cause of failure on this, is these were sitting next to each other fine for several weeks, but then this heatwave arrived, and melted the plastic hoods on the wires (no metal was exposed), and the two test leads touched each other, and then caused arcing. Luckily, on a metal table and in the middle of a large cement patio. Lesson: do not leave stuff like that out in the sun. Very lucky not to have a fire for sure. (also, these are VERY CHEAP test leads... I do not think the plastic is up to snuff, the leads themselves suck. They were a cheap Uncle Bezos purchase, which I regret, because the test leads suck). #failure

He goes home. Somebody called that "an oddity," resigned in a panic, and the conservative movement lost its collective fucking ever loving mind defending the honor of a teenager who, by every available account, had done nothing more remarkable than exist near power. I mean this kid did not excel at anything. Nothing. Not an ounce.

Governments failed to deliver $160m of river improvements including for now-parched NSW wetlands, report finds
“Quite simply the environment is the loser along with the taxpayer...The failure to implement what was promised means that turtles, fish and wetlands die.”
The Greens environment spokesperson, Sarah Hanson-Young, said the report “makes it abundantly clear that despite millions of dollars being splashed around, it has not gone to protecting the river”. >>
