I can host some people again, who need somewhere to tent for up to 2 weeks at a time, starting in September. No longterm stays though. Only short term, emergency or hunting for more permanent housing is OK. We are in South Saanich area & close to all amenities & hospital is nearby too. #BeTheChange #Grassroots #CommunitySupport #HelpTheHomeless #DirectAction #LiveByYourValues #Humanitarians #HelpWhenYouCan #CitizensCreateChange #Homelessness #HelpBeforeJudging

Early this morning: I got my cucumber plants tied up/secured. Transplanted 3 okra starters. Burlap bagged up our Asian greens seed pods & hung it up in our cooler garage space, to shell seeds out later - for sowing/saving/sharing 👩‍🌾💚 #FoodSecurity #FoodEquity #FoodSystems #GrowFood #AnarchoSocialist #GrowVegetables #GrowItEatIt #AntiCapitalist #BeTheChange #SeedsOfTheRevolution #GardeningIsRevolutionary #ResistanceGardeners #GrowFromSeed #DisabledGardeners #FoodGardening #FoodPlants #Saanich #VictoriaBC #VancouverIsland #PNW #Zone8 #YYJ #Cascadia #PacificNorthwest #VanIsle #HomegrownGoodness #HomegrownFood #SeedSavers

I've taken out all the Chinese greens that went to seed. Put in next Chinese greens crops. Added some extra tomato plants & am adding more soil to this bed. By the wheelbarrow is where I'm planting more crops. I'm filling pots & doing some okra & watermelon plant transplanting too. #FoodSecurity #FoodEquity #FoodSystems #GrowFood #AnarchoSocialist #GrowVegetables #GrowItEatIt #AntiCapitalist #BeTheChange #SeedsOfTheRevolution #GardeningIsRevolutionary #ResistanceGardeners #GrowFromSeed #DisabledGardeners #FoodGardening #FoodPlants #Saanich #VictoriaBC #VancouverIsland #PNW #Zone8 #YYJ #Cascadia #PacificNorthwest #VanIsle

I setup a new trellis area for my extra cucumber & cantaloupe plants. I used a free, discarded, partial bamboo trellis fence & old broom poles/scrap wood to set it up. #FoodSecurity #FoodEquity #FoodSystems #GrowFood #AnarchoSocialist #GrowVegetables #GrowItEatIt #AntiCapitalist #BeTheChange #SeedsOfTheRevolution #GardeningIsRevolutionary #ResistanceGardeners #GrowFromSeed #DisabledGardeners #FoodGardening #FoodPlants #Saanich #VictoriaBC #VancouverIsland #PNW #Zone8 #YYJ #Cascadia #PacificNorthwest #VanIsle #Cucumbers #Cantaloupe #HomegrownGoodness #HomegrownFood #ZeroWaste #SolarPunk

What I sowed today: Okra, romanesco broccoli, dill, rosemary, purple carrots, slim orange carrots & a cool cilantro pea plant - you can eat the peas & foliage tastes like cilantro. It's a new experimental food crop for me. I got the seeds from a local farmer friend. #FoodSecurity #FoodEquity #FoodSystems #GrowFood #AnarchoSocialist #SeedStarters #GrowVegetables #GrowItEatIt #AntiCapitalist #BeTheChange #SeedsOfTheRevolution #GardeningIsRevolutionary #ResistanceGardeners #GrowFromSeed #DisabledGardeners #FoodGardening #FoodSeeds #Saanich #VictoriaBC #VancouverIsland #PNW #Zone8 #YYJ #Cascadia #PacificNorthwest #VanIsle
