'Watermelon Day' is celebrated on July 27th and, this being Japan, we have a play on words to thank for this date. The pattern on a watermelon's skin is likened to a rope... 'natsu-no-tsuna' (夏の綱 = な (7) つのつ (2) な (7)) = 'summer rope'😲🍉🫤 #スイカの日 #watermelon #Japan

Turns out that it's very handy knowing an iaido master around this time of year😋... #スイカの日 #watermelonday #スイカ #watermelon #Japan #Kyoto #京都 #居合道 #Iaido Cultivated for at least 5000 years (they are depicted in Egyptian hieroglyphics), watermelons are 92% water!🍉

I recently noticed that my old neighbour had a newspaper in her newspaper holder that no one had took inside for a few days. I then called her to check that everything was ok. It was, she was visiting her daughter. Today she came with a watermelon and some tomates as a thank you from her daughter. 🤗 ❤️ #Neighbors #Caring #Watermelon #Tomatoes #Thankyou

In 2022 NHS trusts raised #Ukrainian flags & shipped ventilators to Kyiv. Nobody got suspended

Then came #Gaza

• #Nurse #threatened with disciplinary action for #watermelon on a Teams background
• #Doctor with #NHS 15 years suspended mid-shift, escorted from building for social media posts on own time on private account

Thousands of NHS workers are saying: apply the rules consistently, or don’t apply them at all. Do you agree?
