While these aren't my favorite displays, I have to admit that they are interesting: each character is made up of many segments of various shapes, and each cell in the 5×3 matrix has unique shapes, visible on the second image.
These examples are used on lines 2 and 3a of the #Paris #tram network.
Do these displays have a name, by the way? I'd love to know.

À Édimbourg, il y a une ligne de tramway très efficace qui relie la ville et l'aéroport. Le matériel roulant est composé de CAF Urbos 3, comme à Stockholm. Si seulement elles n'étaient pas défigurées par du pelliculage publicitaire systématique…
Le RER C de Paris enjambe le parc André Citroën grâce à un pont qui, ici, voit passer une Z 20900 en livrée Île-de-France Mobilités.
