Attention all Fediversers :-). I've been asking around recently about what open social web projects should be funded in order to make Mastodon more interesting / attractive to a larger public. Something that keeps coming back is that influencers (not just the fashion ones, but also the intellectual thought leaders) can bring their whole communities here if there was a monetization model available.

Do you agree we should welcome the masses?
What would such a monetization model look like?

Open Weights and American AI Leadership, a post by NVIDIA: https://images.nvidia.com/pdf/Open-Weights-and-American-AI-Leadership.pdf 'Our AI leadership will be judged not by one frontier AI model, but by whether the United States builds a strong, open ecosystem that diffuses into every sector. Openness may be one of the most important paths to AI safety and security.'
