Interested in open-source, programming, hardware.. + in general spiritual stuff...Mysticism too a little.

@incentive@mastodon.circlewithadot.net Are you talking about me? It's not as difficult as arch (more laborious, yes. More comprehension, no. The extra work is simpler to do) Yes, of course, if you're like me and willing to adjust with potential future age-verification measures just because it isn't there yet now, Fedora is the best choice for beginners (here the distro wars begin letz go!)

He told of some scientific study where male frogs were bathed in estrogen and suddenly they were attracted to males... And somehow it meant that gay was not possible. I briefly said about the importance of disproving the more general consensus in science... He just diverted to religion (Hinduism in our case... In south india). He started the usual morality arguments... ...

But then I countered with REAL rigvedic verses and accounts of Mitra-Varuna, acceptance and allfather-nature of Rudra/Shiva (The lord I revere and look up to)... [Those who know religion the least misuse it the most in excuses.] "You are cherry-picking and misinterpreting as you wish!" I asked him if he has ever read a single line of those texts. "No, but still... Gay is bad and the scriptures can't say otherwise" ...

HOW TO ARGUE WITH ME I do not participate in coalition inference: identifying which "side" a sentence resembles, assigning me that side's beliefs, and then responding to those beliefs instead of my words. I consider that practice intellectually corrosive and ethically wrong. I will try to apply these same standard to you. If you think I have replaced your claim with a more familiar or politically convenient version, quote the substitution and correct me. I will concede when I am wrong. SO:

@NoahCarver@caneandable.social @FreakyFwoof@universeodon.com Way too many people would hate the automatic installation of "suggested" packages... That's what windows does. Though I agree that somehow even the suggestions need disabling

@NoahCarver@caneandable.social @FreakyFwoof@universeodon.com Exactly. The best solution would be to shut off the suggestions themselves... Like, does anyone use it? Most of us either know it ourselves or follow a guide, which/who always gives the "suggestions" themselves as appropriate in the context.

@pastelfluffyfox@meow.social Gentoo guaranteed. It EXPLICITLY is against AI, and is too do-it-yourself to ever be able to decide the age-verification system for you EVEN IF you use systemd and all
