I'm off the #radio again this week taking care of my #dog Walter, who is improving with Ira's support. Scratchy vinyl Tim will be covering my show! 8-11pm eastern on WPRB 103.3fm or wprb.com

mastodon 4.7.2WPRB DJ, coordinator of the no genocide benefit series, mrr shitworker, widow, punk
Sorry I've been absent on the radio, I've been dealing with some intense pet health stuff. Hopefully I will be back next week
I wanted to share this article about my friend Hassan and his band Zanjeer who appears on the first No Genocide compilation. I think music from members of the #swana #diaspora and their complicated relationship with where they came from and where they are, is the most interesting and powerful thing happening in the underground scene. From alien kulture at the dawn of #punk to zanjeer, shakti, taqbir, ameretat, ikhras, haram and many others today.
i'm trying to do a big push to sell the last few copies of the #gaza benefit comp tapes i've been putting out for the last 2 years this coming friday (cause it's bandcamp friday). i'm no graphic designer but i'm trying to cobble together a series of images of just the band names peel sessions-style. anyway i started with plain text and this list makes me feel kinda proud.
i'll do more hype later, hopefully with better graphics. but i can't express how grateful i am that all these amazing bands who i love and admire so much (most of whom don't know me at all) came through for this.
you can get the comps on tape and digital (and "no genocide" on vinyl) at https://thedissidents.bandcamp.com
buy them on friday and bandcamp doesn't get any fees.
there are also euro versions of the tapes (the only way you can get the sold-out "no occupation" tape) available from symphony of destruction in france and sorry state in the US.
all proceeds benefit gaza soup kitchen and direct support of families in gaza. so far they have raised over $50,000. people are still being starved and hurt and killed by israel in gaza every day.
On the #radio in 13 minutes (5pm eastern) playing an hour of music from the last 6 months. actually mostly from the last 2 months but i gotta play #haram

The #wprb spring membership drive is happening now! pledge.wprb.com to support #freeform community #radio in the Delaware valley!
Saturday 8-11pm eastern I'll be joined by my fellow DJ Pat from Clamour Club and we'll be playing songs about bad presidents, New Jersey and fast food for the 40th anniversary of Whopper Day! What's that you ask? Tune in to find out!
I'll also be joining Pat for his show Friday 10am-noon!
WPRB rules. You can listen at 103.3fm or wprb.com
6 comps, 113 bands from 21 countries, over $50k raised in 2 years for humanitarian aid through Gaza Soup Kitchen, direct support of families, and buying esims for people in Gaza.
We are moving on to other forms of fundraising for Palestine for the time being but please support the comps and spread the word, especially TOMORROW Friday Feb 6 as there are no Bandcamp fees. As the world turns its eyes away from the suffering and devastation in Gaza, our support is needed even more.
You can buy the comps at https://thedissidents.bandcamp.com
We have limited tapes left of yes liberation, pomegranate seeds, olive seeds and poppy seeds, and we also have no genocide on LP and amazing anarcho/mob inspired t-shirts designed by Carry on Screening.
In addition all proceeds from any dissidents downloads and merch sold on Bandcamp Friday will be donated.
Thanks so much to everyone who has generously given their time and talent to this project.

Transistor Sister is back to normal schedule! 8-11pm eastern on WPRB 103.3fm in the Delaware Valley and wprb.com from anywhere.
It’s not a full themed show but obviously I will be playing some anti-war songs, feel free to make requests. especially if anyone has written a song really fast about taking away trans people's driver's licenses, what the FUCK.
Today is the day, please pick up fundraising comps for Gaza Soup Kitchen today, and more of your donation goes to food, clean water, medical supplies and other essentials. All proceeds from dissidents releases and merch today (and the last few days, fuck it) will also be donated. https://thedissidents.bandcamp.com

@VanisleJay@438punk.house you can see the playlist from today here: https://spinitron.com/WPRB/pl/22095426/Transistor-Sister
I archive my shows on mixcloud but I'm like a month behind on it. The best place to see the playlists + links to the shows is https://www.uneasylistening.org
Although I think I'm slightly even behinder on there. I also post playlists in the comments on mixcloud.
i decided to do a theme and promised to do it during a mic break on my fill-in show last night and then i realized i ALREADY DID IT! this barely ever happens! but whatever. the theme is TEENAGERS and i'm gonna do it again, there are so many songs about teenagers, they are a staple of the genre of rock. and the last time I did it was 9 years ago so i've learned about a lot more music since then.
requests welcome, tune in 8-11pm eastern this Saturday on 103.3fm or wprb.com
@ChrisCrashFM@counterforce.social seriously! I think it's the first record of theirs that lives up to how amazing they are live. The other ones are good but this is just beyond.
I forgot to say I'm on the radio NOW

The gauntlet has been laid down by Uneasy Listening's Western Mass sister show Poison Ivy of the Mind so I will be doing a theme this week: songs whose titles are full sentences! 8-11pm eastern this Saturday oh hey it's February 14! S I'll probably play huggy bear too. On WPRB 103.3 FM https://www.wprb.com
I wish The Coup would repress "sorry to bother you" without the song with Justin Sane on it. It was always a weak track and it's even more embarrassing now that he's been outed as a serial rapist.
