Dear streaming services, "no ads" also means no friggin pre rolls advertising your own shows. Those are still annoying ads that I'm paying you not to see...

I've been off social media for a while now for a mental break, but I'm back this week to watch the #kubecon feeds. Still avoiding the main feed though. Geez I wish I was in Atlanta with everyone! FOMO is real

Love this: "Apple could, rather than creating golden bribes for child sexual predators, actually send a message to its users explaining that it would like to continue providing value to its customers, and ask those customers for help making that case to their elected officials"

I can't believe looking Hispanic or speaking Spanish is now evidence of a crime. That's next level racist bullshit!

On the flip side, does that mean we can start arresting the ultra rich on suspicion of embezzlement & other crimes just because they are rich? That's what that ruling implies, right?

I BBQ'd burgers for lunch today and I did it _without pain_!!! I'm so happy right now. 🥳

This is just ridiculous. This kind of pay package is just farcical and an insult to the company employees. No one deserves or needs this sort of compensation package. You could end world hunger for this kind of money.

Giving @openvibe.social a try to keep active on both @bsky.app and @hachyderm@hachyderm.io I'm not sure I fully like the feel of the feed UI but that might just be because I'm not used to it yet. I do like the way you can cross-post tag someone. That's pretty cool.

Tried #Bluesky the other day because I saw a lot of #Kubernetes, #CNCF, & #OpenSource on to it. While there are things I don't like, there's a lot that I like. I feel the same way but about different things w/ #Mastodon. There are elements of the UI for both website & Android app that I like a lot better. While the election definitely increased my activity I found myself posting a lot more there than I do here. I think deciding factor will be where that community ends up.

It still boggles my mind that we can download a 100GB file from the #internet in just a few short minutes and I'm not even on a super fast connection. Sometimes I feel really #old when I think stuff like this and talk about #intheoldendays

How many #Microsoft engineers does it take to change a lightbulb?

None, they just opened the Windows. 🤣😜

Is it just me or is it now cheaper to pay for cable than for all the streaming services?!? The back of napkin math isn't looking so nice...

Heads up for those of you out there running #ArgoCD instances; especially in a multi-tenant model.

Spent my video game hour today playing the Anno 117: Pax Romana demo. It was only an hour so I don't have much of an opinion yet but for whatever reason even though that style game is my jam, I just can't figure out the money making mechanics on it & I always go broke. 😢

I got to say, I've been really happy with bearable.app. It's really helped me understand & track my mood/pain the last 2-3 months. Even though I'm on the mend physically I think I'm going to keep using it for mood tracking. The insights/correlations have been really useful.

I love the way people say we'll get an extra hour of sleep this weekend due to the end of #daylightsavingtime but it's not like my body is going to magically know about this artificial construct and actually know to let me sleep more. No, all it really means is that I'll be up an hour earlier than normal.
