@cinimodev@masto.ctms.me @codemonkeymike@fosstodon.org You are very welcome :) I have also used this as a basis to install gentoo on an arm chromebook before, but unfortunately on my device I had no luck with running a mainline kernel so far (Snapdragon 7c)

@Phil@freeatlantis.com @MostlyHarmless@thecanadian.social if you also calculate in that US has no free general healthcare, one sickness or operation can financially ruin your life and a lot of other missing social securities the rest of the world has...
You have no security against losing your job, even a pregnancy costs you tens of thousands, the gun violence and corresponding death rates are closer to a war zone, incredibly high poverty rates in one of the richest counties in the world. Education can create dept for life, food quality is horrible, basicly close to no public transport, ongoing wars since decades, people living in cars or on the street because they can't even afford a mobile home, children need drills against shooters in schools, etc.
From my point of view the US is a closer to a third world country than most other developed counties.
'Median' household income is including also people like elon musk? If you look at the minimum income you will find the reason for the poverty rates in the US.
