The Railer app by @jncn@mastodon.social is one of those joys of using an iPhone: great independent software that works perfectly and is a million times better than any official app from the transport providers.

@Kyebr also to nerd out about it Obsidian (which I do heavily customize) - that’s one of the reasons I eventually switched to their own sync (in addition to supporting the company), as it allows me to build shortcuts that wait for the sync to complete before adding new lines to my notes: https://github.com/Vinzent03/obsidian-advanced-uri/pull/221

@Kyebr that’s fair - I guess I’m the type of user who doesn’t want to spend hours on customising stuff, especially on mobile OSes, so I don’t find much of a difference between iOS and Android, both of which I use quite frequently.
It’s quite nice though that I feel like they’ve grown more similar over the years, with iOS becoming a bit more configurable, and Android now having more beautiful and sane defaults.
The one thing about Mastodon that still doesn’t fully work with my mental modal is the fact that ‘faves’ feel like the default action - but a favourite feels so much stronger to me than a like on other platforms.
For every 30 things I’d like on Instagram, one would be important enough to capture/catalog for the future.

In previous years I would have (and did) wax poetically on my blog about getting older. This year, I’m just happy and feeling pretty fulfilled, and very aware of how important that is.
I don’t know why it took me so long to notice - but it’s interesting to see how much music album art doesn’t have any text on it nowadays.
Kind of neat, because it removes the need to work within boundaries, but it also deprives the world from a lot of cool typography!
