My avatar: a black and white image looking down the bodyline of a woman in a white flowy dress laying on the forest floor. Small flowers ornament her hair.
My banner: A rocky coastal scene. The left side is filled by a dark greenish blue rock. On the right half, a woman with a seashell crown stares serenely into the camera. Long wavy hair covers her front and white fabric drapes over her legs.
Did I take a million photos of these peonies, making only microadjustments that would only be apparent to me?
Yeah.
Am I kicking myself I didn't adjust more?
Yup.

Someone told me my joy comes through in my flower work and another person said my photos inspired hope for the future in the viewer.
Just really swell things to hear as an artist, really.

The cutest little dine-and-dasher I ever did see in my #garden.
Surprised to discover I never posted this one from last year. All homegrown.

My meadowscaped front lawn in spring makes me so pleased. We have gone through some very ugly phases with it but knew it would take time. Worth it.

Drizzly July morning here in Iowa and I've been neglecting flower photo opportunities lately but here's a couple from my rounds this AM.

As my milkweed recovers from storms doing a number on its flowers, the coneflower continues to keep the monarchs coming back.

To walk through the garden and gather such beauty up, smelling and sighing with all the happiness Spring brings. I love days like today.
