Following up from today's boardroom.

I dug into the Stripe docs and found that it _is_ possible for a payment form to split a payment more than once. But being part of the split requires a prior connection.

But once that connection is made, the payment form could delegate splits based on something as simple as a URL parameter.

For example, a podcast could include the payment page URL in their Funding tag, then PodcastGuru automatically adds "?ref=podcastguru" to the URL.

When #podcast apps truncate long titles, the words at the beginning matter most. Put the strongest promise, clearest topic, or most useful curiosity trigger early.

One of my biggest workflow changes was moving away from full scripts.

I’ve found that outlines give me more energy, fewer awkward retakes, and a more natural connection with my audience.

Clever titles can work when they fit the show. But if the clever part hides what the episode is actually about, your #podcast title may be entertaining and still unhelpful.

But that's messy, unstructured, wasteful, and difficult to parse.

@mitch @dave Yeah, I'm using pretty much only GPT 5.3 Codex, though I sometimes try Composer 2 for simpler things that I want done more quickly. Both are the same "cost" to me: 1 credit per request _I_ send. Opus 4.6 is 2 credits. But I can't use Opus 4.7 or GPT 5.4 in Cursor unless I give up my legacy billing. I would love to see Cursor let me use my ChatGPT/Codex subscription, like OpenClaw can do. I'm willing to continue paying $20/month just for the Cursor harness.

@dave Yeah, Spreaker can do that; it's weird. If I set that "Manage RSS" option to "enabled" (which is the default), it will publish a Spreaker-hosted RSS feed with added elements, kind of like Feedburner's old SmartCast feature worked. In fact, do you remember a couple of years ago that my own podcast was duplicated in the Index? We traced that to the scraped Spreaker RSS feed that I didn't realize was being created by Spreaker.

@russell@podcastindex.social socialInteract is for—wait for it—social interaction, which is significantly different from contact methods.

"Contact" is more of a one-way flow. Audience sends feedback to the podcast, and the podcast might include that in the podcast. There's less expectation for back-and-forth interaction.

Plus, this contact tag is structured to handle different types of contact: booking, sponsorship, audience feedback, and potentially more.

@dave Meh. GPT seems to actually be consistently better for coding anyway, and we have yet to see GPT 5.5. Plus, other models are getting surprisingly good, like the new Kimi K2.6. And I saw that Mimo v2.5 Pro was released just today. I never used that model for coding, but it _did_ do really well for OpenClaw agentic work before I switched to GPT via a ChatGPT $20/month subscription. Cursor, however, appears to cap my legacy subscription to GPT 5.3 Codex and Opus 4.6.

@ville @adam It was someone who did some basic cross calculations and estimated extrapolations. For example, if you run the prompts through OpenRouter and see the cost is $100, and you run it through a Claude subscription and see it used 2% of your limit, then you can infer that you'd get about $5,000 from Claude's subsidization.

That’s a big part of how I’m using it now, especially for turning a spoken episode into a cleaner article.

If an episode covers several unrelated ideas, look for the theme first. A strong umbrella title can make your #podcast feel focused, even when the conversation covers a lot of ground.

@adam Anthrophic and OpenAI have so drastically subsidized their subscriptions that even with reduced usage, you're probably still getting a killer deal. Before this throttling, that last stat I heard was that the $200/month Claude Max plan gives up to $5,000 worth of inference (what you'd pay through OpenRouter or the direct API).

My show notes and article workflow now start with what I actually said.

Instead of forcing a separate writing process from scratch, I can use the transcript, outline, and some cleanup to turn the episode into something still authentic to me.
