@dave@podcastindex.social Thanks Dave. I can see the issue now. The Dart HTTP library, by default, only sends the specified user agent on the first request. After the 301 redirect, it sends 'Dart' as the user agent.
Bloody genius! 😕
The workaround is to set a global user agent on the http base client. Seems a bit arse backwards.
Anytime Player is rolling out a new release across the stores. This is a minor update which includes:
A continuous play option.
Spanish language support.
Support for VTT transcripts.
Podcast & episode sharing.
Episode notes selectable for copy/pasting.
Accessibility improvements & bug fixes.
Hi @dave@podcastindex.social I'm subscribed to the old PC2.0 feed in Anytime: https://mp3s.nashownotes.com/pc20rss.xml
Using curl I get a 301, but from Dart code I get a 403:
'You must set a proper User-Agent string that identifies your application. Sample code UA strings, default http library UA strings and generic or vague UA strings are not allowed.'
I can't work out why it doesn't like my call from Dart (I have a valid user agent) and why I don't get a 301. Just wondered if anything came to mind? Thank you!
