📣 I have two open postdoctoral positions on the trajectories towards a circular management of the resources present in human excreta and wastewater.

The first subject is on the actor networks associated to excreta source separation: the goal is to analyse the interactions between the actors and the emerging solutions and provide tools to represent these interactions in a way that makes it easier to identify levers and blockers.

The second subject concerns all technologies associated to nitrogen recovery from wastewater and the associated innovation trajectories. The goal is to characterize the current socio-technical regime, the landscape of emerging alternatives or technological upgrades, and how regulation may help or hinder recovery.

If you know students in complex systems science or at the intersection of any of the fields of sociology, economy and environmental sciences, please let them know about it.

RE: @tfardet@scicomm.xyz

Yesterday's presentation at #PintOfScience was very nice, but it reminded me again how little press most agricultural and food topics get (unless there's a trendy new sanitary issue).

So it just made me feel like boosting this old thread and my presentation at the Fediverse Solstice School again, in case anyone wants to read about sustainable agriculture and fertilization.

📣 REV:EU lunch webinar – learn more about urine diversion!

REV:EU is a Driving Urban Transition project, focusing on the role of source-separating wastewater systems to redesign urban water supply chains. Within REV:EU three cities are cooperating on reshaping urban water management: Stockholm, Paris and Oslo.

📅 On May 28, 2026, at 12:00 CEST we host the second REV:EU lunch webinar. During this webinar we will focus on why urine diversion is of interest in city developments. You will hear about

- What is urine diversion and why Paris is implementing it;
- Effects at the wastewater treatment plant when urine is removed;
- Costs of urine diversion compared with other nitrogen removal approaches in Norway.

We look forward to welcoming you to an inspiring lunch break, advancing the knowledge on source-separating wastewater systems in three European cities.
Please, share this invite with your colleagues, your networks and to anyone you think would be interested in joining!
