@histoire3@shota.house @coolboymew@shitposter.world @alyastay3547@az-social.xyz Breath of Fire IV also was treated like this, it's a modernised Windows PC port that launched in 2003 in HK, multiple yuropoor countries, JP, and both Republic of China and People's Republic of China. GOG has only English and JP versions, and they're exactly as they were back then content wise: JP is uncensored, English is censored in both script, gameplay features, and some events (notably groping, public indecency, bath peeking and beheading scenes) but I can only fault original lolcalisers for this.
They're still uploading patches for it btw.

@histoire3@shota.house @coolboymew@shitposter.world @alyastay3547@az-social.xyz if you intend to run it with wine (or indeed proton), it might be a good idea to override ddraw.dll use to be native only unless you want it to use blurry filters and fullscreen only mode. Point sampled filtering will give you nice and crispy, unblurry pixels.
Also, F9 will drop you out of the game into the main menu, and exit the game cleanly if pressed on the main menu. If you rebind keys or change in-game settings, this is the only way to get the changes saved for some reason.
