Hi @cdevroe@mastodon.social! Thanks for making Signboard, it’s exactly what I've been looking for – especially given Kanban boards inside Obsidian aren’t great. Cheers for adding an MCP server too, I got it hooked up to Goose today, has been really handy. More here: https://visitmy.website/2026/04/15/having-a-gander-at-goose/

Been lucky enough to do product in government for several years. There’s some aspects of private-sector product that don’t translate well, like chasing revenue and profit.

But when you realise that shipping features delivers cashable benefits, all that changes. https://visitmy.website/2025/07/31/dont-just-keep-the-lights-on-shine-bright/

You need to read up on regression testing, mate

Only a few more days until @boffbowsh@mastodon.social dispenses with the annual Christmas treat: the bins meme.

In honour of this tradition, I’ve forced two references to The Muppet Christmas Carol in the latest #weeknotes for Extract. You see, I am a man of business. https://digital-land.github.io/extract-alpha/weeknotes/meetings-and-partings/

i’d like to thank the academy, my fans, and of course my darling partner

The Muslim Network at MHCLG is running a fast-o-thon today, inviting people to fast for the day during Ramadan. I really like taking part in these, it helps me empathise with the unhoused.

Here’s a few reflections from when we did the same at GDS in 2020: https://digitalpeople.blog.gov.uk/2020/06/05/reflections-of-our-colleagues-who-joined-muslims-at-gds-for-a-day-of-fasting/

No detailed notes on work this week, at least not the day-to-day. Doing some wider thinking, out loud. #weeknotes https://visitmy.website/2025/03/01/the-sunshine-by-the-sea/

Must have said the phrase ‘test & learn’ every day this week. Don’t forget that it’s an approach that’s all about reducing risk and improving probability. Certainty is binary and useless to us. https://visitmy.website/2024/04/11/certainty-probability-risk/

Found what Marty Cagan said about product management in the age of AI surprisingly comforting, and I loved how he wasn’t breathless about pumping AI into everything. The man values human thinking! https://visitmy.website/2026/04/24/marty-cagans-new-standard-for-product-in-the-age-of-ai/

Running a marathon this weekend, fundraising for Crisis to support people experiencing homelessness. Got a 10K in July too. Please do spare some £££s if you can! https://www.justgiving.com/page/steve-2026

Wrapping up my 21st series of #weeknotes! Learned some things about AI prototyping and making sure people pass on your caveats. Enjoying a small bit of time off between contracts. https://visitmy.website/2026/04/10/the-dangers/

has anyone made an album of ev white noise yet?
