Apparently leading zeros are British, thanks JavaScript
```
console.log(new Date(2026, 0, 2).toLocaleString('en-GB', {
year: 'numeric',
month: 'numeric',
day: 'numeric'
}))
02/01/2026
console.log(new Date(2026, 0, 2).toLocaleString('en-US', {
year: 'numeric',
month: 'numeric',
day: 'numeric'
}))
1/2/2026
```
var date = dayjs().format('D/M/YYYY')
why do we still need libraries to do something as simple as this in javascript?
UK Parliament has a lot of APIs including MP and voting data
Currently free and looking for contract work - I'm an experienced designer (interaction, service) with over 10 years at UK Government Digital Service. My work there included leading design for Register to Vote, Petition Parliament and the GOV.UK Prototype Kit.
Give me a shout if you know of anything, and appreciate any boosts, ta!
js help please!
Why does this give the month with a leading zero when the spec seems to say it won't?
```
console.log(new Date().toLocaleString('en-GB', {
year: 'numeric',
month: 'numeric',
day: 'numeric'
}))
```
