@ThePolishDispatch@mstdn.social @arstechnica@mastodon.social I remember this was a feature in TrueCrypt, called plausible deniability mode. The encrypted volume just looked like random bits and there was no way to prove there was even data on the other partition unless it was unlocked.

@thehatfox @metin My thoughts exactly. I thought extensions got a random id when installed to prevent something like this, kinda like ASLR. Maybe that's just a Firefox thing?
