Isn’t this the coolest Free Little Library you’ve seen? This is over off Ward Parkway and is a miniature Union Station. Someone put so much attention to detail into this! It’s a bit in disrepair now but still cool and loaded up with books. I just dropped off about 10 myself! ❤️ 📚 #bookstodon #FreeLittleLibrary

Visited Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge today (about 100 miles north of Kansas City). A record 1,012 eagles were observed the first week of January for their annual eagle migration. A couple weeks later, I doubt there were 100, but that is still more eagles in than I’ve ever seen in my life, to be sure. It was incredible. 🦅
I didn’t take a good camera, just my phone. I was there to observe, not photograph, so the pics are poor quality. I’ll still share some! #nature #birdsofmastodon
Lucky to be able to see some Northern Lights way down here in Kansas City, MO last night. Such rare and beautiful occurrence. #NorthernLights
Two different older people have asked me today if all three kids are mine. Excuse me? I have never been asked this question in my entire life. What the actual f—-?! If a third person asks asks, I’m going to say “No, I abducted them about an hour ago. Byeeeee!” then run away. 🤦🏻♀️
Went for an almost 2-mile walk with my son this afternoon. The weather is beautiful. 😍 Spotted a lovely giraffe sculpture made entirely of forks, and giant clumps of mushrooms, too. Possibly ringless honey mushrooms but I’m no expert. 🍄🟫 #pedestrianadventures #mushrooms
Little day trip up to the Scenic Overlook at the Weston State Park. It’s two weeks past peak foliage but still beautiful. 🍂 #fallfoliage
Achieved a bucket list item on a recent trip to Bangor, Maine! I know he doesn’t live there anymore, but I was THRILLED to finally be in front of Stephen King’s old house. We traipsed around Bangor, looking some places that clearly inspired his work or were used in filming, like parts of Pet Sematary being filmed in Mount Hope Cemetery. #stephenking #bangor #maine
On my walk earlier, the crows were hanging out in the cemetery. I stopped to watch them, and they were watching me. 🐦⬛ I also saw a little wildflower garden still blooming away, and this painted lady on a pink zinnia. 💗
Found this lovely lady on my garage this morningl! I love praying mantises. They’re so damn cool! They always stare at you curiously as well. Hope it’s true and you bring good luck! 💚
I was in South Overland Park, KS earlier and walked around Heritage Lake. It’s a nice spot, but full sun—not my favorite. However, I loved seeing a bee hotel! How cool is that?!! #savethebees #pedestrianadventures
Happy National Book Lovers Day!
I’m 1/4 of the way through “Kingdom of Ash” by Sarah J. Maas, the 7th and final book in the series (or technically 8th if you read the prequel).
What are you reading? #bookstodon
@lor@beige.party oooh love that! We had pink and blue but couldn’t see the green here in MO.
