I just released the the version 1.0.0 of B.Vibratr, a "flavoured" vibrato as an instrument. Or simply call it an absolutely overdesigned vibrato effect plugin. Features:
* Put a vibrato effect on everything you want
* Control vibrato by playing like an instrument (MIDI notes)
* Describe vibrato using oscillators and/or wavetables
* Modulate vibrato using FM, PM, or AM to add texture

It's my first #LV2 plugin after a break of some 4 years.

B.Choppr is sound manipulation #LV2 plugin to produce techno style-like chopping effects. And there's a new release:

How stupid? I'm programming a whole wavetable synthesizer just for a simple sound effect.

Replying to
@MyLoFy@mastodon.social Thanks for sharing the announcement of my new "toy". It's in an early stage of development. This means that only a part of my ideas is realized yet. But it works! Feel free to play around with it but expect major changes which may break compatibility.

Replying to
@dreamer@mastodon.world Thanks, this feature wasn't hard to realize as my UI toolkit already has got a Sample(file)Chooser which already displays a sample. The harder part was to get information about the wavetables from Serum and some others. They also come along as .wav sample files plus some additional data. A had to do some reverse engineering with these wavetables as there was not really a lot information about the additional data except a single blog post.

There's a new release of the #FOSS #LV2 #plugin #BChoppr, an audio chopping effect plugin:

Github repo: https://github.com/sjaehn/BChoppr
Downloads: https://github.com/sjaehn/BChoppr/releases/tag/1.12.6

The new version 1.12.4/1.12.6 is the first one based on my new (and still not official) #BWidgets toolkit.

@murks@social.tchncs.de ... You could either go step by step straight forward and directly define the adsr method and what's going on inside. Or you firstly declare the adsr header only. And think about its inside later. This is prototyping. This way look a bit like moving backwards sometimes, but it's advantageous for larger projects.

@murks@social.tchncs.de And last but not least. The next video will contain a lot of new information. As we will switch to C++11 and have to rewrite parts of the code. Therefore I recommend to take breaks in the video. Go to the resources. There are often additional examples provided.

@murks@social.tchncs.de Thanks and congrats. Yes, lv2lint will complain about this minimal plugin description as maintainer and version data are missing (but all hosts I know will take it anyway). So you already did this part of my next video. 😃

@murks@social.tchncs.de Congrats, you successfully let the ducks swim 😃 . You felt like the whole thing has been built backwards? I would say it's something in between. It's prototyping. If you try to solve a problem, then it's easier to divide the problem into smaller portions. This is what we did in Key::get(). Split it into a adsr envelope method, a wave generator (sin), and a velocity transformation function....

@murks@social.tchncs.de Defining the class Key is clear. But this doesn't create an object. Right. This was your point. The object is declared in the video at 2:20 as a member of MySineSynth. And its only one object. So the synth we made is a Monosynth. The object key starts its life at 2:28 in the initializer of MySineSynth.

@murks@social.tchncs.de I think it's something inside the mySimpleSynth.ttl. But it's a bit surprising as lv2_validate (and lv2lint ?) doesn't complain. I think that there is something missing behind rdf:value. Please check. Maybe you can upload you .ttl file too.

@murks@social.tchncs.de There is a typo. There should be NO colon after value. So rdf:value instead of rdf:value:

@murks@social.tchncs.de Indeed, C/C++ compiler messages are sometimes hard to understand. As hard as understanding Perl code. Written by somebody else.
