The same "technique" is used in both the macro and micro, and so easy to see and understand if you have knowledge and experience with domestic abuse. It's very particular human behavioral characteristics of a certain mindset that are imposed outwardly onto others and the environment. Often in domestic situations being unconscious, rather than conspired, but in both cases still mostly derived from insecurities and inadequacies, with the need to control others and the environment. ○ Step one is distraction - shifting the focus of the cause of a problem away from the perpetrator / abuser to somewhere else. ○ Step two is division - turning groups against each other, or an individual against friends / family. ○ Step three is isolation - keeping groups or individuals ignorant, and controlling the information they receive in order to shape their belief system - making them more malleable and controllable. That testing (mentioned in the original post) which is a part of this process, is the same as how a domestic abuser constantly tests their partner, and which is also a part of classic conditioning - which is why the testing is continuous and punishable, until the subject(s) automatically respond in the desired manner, where they are then rewarded. The bottom line though is that humans are just shit.

Lies, manipulation, bullying, hate, control strategies etc, are not opinions. They are abuse and violations. Screaming angrily to take away other people's rights is not Freedom of Speech. It is fascism. There are no opinions under fascism. No Freedom of Speech. No VPNs. The hard right by it's very nature perverts everything and twists it upside down and inside out. (war is peace, freedom is slavery etc), and so when they say "Freedom Of Speach" it is defined by 'We have the right to abuse anyone we want but you have to shut up'. It is literally the opposite to what #mullvad #vpn say they stand for. Morons... I have made many sacrifices over these last few years as not to fund fascism in any way, shape, or form. In the early 1930's in Germany, before Hitler had consolidated absolute power, the SS took control of prison camps, which then following, reportedly had a high number of inmate deaths. These were apparently from suicide or escape attempts. An investigator visited the camp, and saw inconsistencies, such as rope burns on arms and necks. He also noted that every death was a political adversary to Hitler and Jewish. He faced immense pressure from above to rule the deaths suicide or accidental, but instead decided to present the compiled evidence and rule it murderer. He ended up in a concentration camp himself and died. But, the evidence and report he had filed was ultimately used at the Nuremberg Trials to convict senior Nazis.

@PhilipCJames@mas.to This is a new and different situation, but it is those same patterns - and I feel highlighting those same comparable patterns is necessary to stopping it. We live in a very different world today, where the solution is going to be different. Nobody is coming to save the American people, and it is every American's responsibility and duty to save themselves. I'm British, and we are just a few years away from being taken over, depending on what happens in the US. In fact, the fate of the rest of world absolutely relies on what direction the USA ultimately goes in. We are in a global conflict, which could very well already be WWIII in the history books. But, the world is now a global network in our modern age, and that network is the front line of this conflict. Information is the main weapon, and infrastructure is the targets. If anything, the Trump regime being too much like the Nazi's will likely be a big part of it's downfall, because they don't seem to be able to adapt. They seem to be one step ahead, but when that step is blocked, it's like they have no contingency around it. Project 25 is very 2 dimensional and just follows those same aged old patterns. That's why it is comparable - and why it can be intelligently resisted.

@actuallyautistic@a.gup.pe I just did that autistic thing again, where I present facts to someone, FYI style, trying to offer some help and guidance - without realising that they did not ask me for help, nor were they ready to accept said facts. Then to make it worse - I did another autistic thing again, where when they respond with anger, but sarcastically - I just think they are joking. How am I supposed to know they're angry when they look like they're smiling? So, my response was to laugh, like you are supposed to when someone is joking (even if you don't get it) - but then I continue to emphasise the actual facts... as they are still the actual facts, and I felt were important to understand. 💥Then everything suddenly blows up, seemingly out of nowhere!... 💥 Emotion is flying everywhere ..and now I definitely recognise the angry face. 😠 Then I have to spend the next hour playing it all back, and going through the entire thing to work out if it was my fault, and where that fault exactly was. I did conclude that there was no way for me to know that they would be triggered, and so I can't take responsibility for that. I also can't take responsibility (anymore) for not "reading the room" - in the same way someone in a wheelchair cannot take responsibility for not using the stairs - especially as I now make a point of telling people that I'm autistic. However, I did try to force help on someone, not ready to receive it, and who didn't ask for it. Something I have done many times before. Just... out of caring really - but a mistake I don't seem to realise until after I've made it. But, it isn't just that I was forcing something they are avoiding, but I also understand that with neurotypical thinking, trying to help someone who didn't ask for it, can come across as judgemental. As though you are putting yourself on a higher level, as a pretense, to look down upon them - making them feel inadequate. For me, in my mind, it was just meant FYI, and a subject I know well enough in the details to feel confident enough in relaying that information. Something that is often problematic for us Autists in many different situations. Where we present simple facts, but which are received with connotations, or with hidden meanings, that we just never meant.... #actuallyautistic #autistic #autisticlife

@midtsveen@social.linux.pizza I think for us non-Americans, it was easy to dismiss it as just crazy over the top America again. We got the headlines, but didn't know just how much push back and keeping him on the rails there was behind the scenes, from other politicians and institutions. Though I don't think most Americans did either, since they voted again. But... it isn't actually even Donald Trump. He's not the leader, but just a useful idiot. He was brought in to be the figurehead of MAGA. The branding. The celebrity that different groups would follow. If he goes, it doesn't just end. Epstein was a MAGA leader, and he didn't want Trump as the figurehead. It's why they can't release the files, because it exposes the whole thing.
