Es gibt jetzt eine „offizielle“ Fluid-Extension für VSCode (und u.a. Cursor): https://github.com/FriendsOfTYPO3/vscode-fluid-language ✨

Die erste Version konzentriert sich auf die Basics: Syntax Highlighting, Snippets und Autocomplete/Inline-Doku, soweit technisch möglich. Und als Bonus Live-Template-Analyse: Der Editor jagt das offene Template durch Fluid und zeigt Fehler direkt inline an.

Ich freue mich über Feedback und Contributions. Denn das ist nur der erste Schritt für bessere Fluid-DX. Stay tuned!

@PechGehabt@norden.social Das ist krass… ich hatte als (damaliges) Mitglied des Core-Teams genau eine „Chance“ mitzureden, und die war ein gemeinsam erstelltes ausführliches Dokument mit Feedback, zu dem zumindest ich nie eine fundierte Antwort gehört habe. Der Rest waren Frontalvorträge von „fertigen“ Konzepten. Soviel zu diesen Gelegenheiten.

This has been a long time coming, and it is at least a medium-sized game changer for TYPO3 integration. With only three lines of TypoScript, we can now jump right into Fluid and have all relevant data available to render full pages. Thanks to @kanti@mastodontech.de for the time you invested over the last weeks to make this happen! 🧡 #typo3 #fluid

@rotnroll666 Danke für den treffenden Post. Ich möchte noch ergänzen: Was sich wie ein roter Faden durch alles zu ziehen scheint: Nicht der Weg, sondern das Ziel ist das Ziel. Social/Linkedin und noch viel mehr KI suggerieren, dass es immer nur um ein Ergebnis geht, nicht um den Weg dorthin. Aber genau der Weg schafft die Frustrationstoleranz, die man in der IT (und nicht nur da) braucht. Ich beneide heutige Juniors wirklich nicht darum, sich gegen diese Ergebnis-Kultur durchsetzen zu müssen.

Technische Beratung war auch mal einfacher: Früher haben Leute wenigstens gesagt, dass sie keine Ahnung vom Thema haben (oder keine Lust, sich damit tiefer zu beschäftigen). Heute kippt jeder seine halbgare, aber trotzdem ausführliche KI-Recherche in den Mailverlauf, durch die man sich dann durchgraben darf. Meist mit mehr offenen Fragen als vorher. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Ich mache jetzt TYPO3 seit >15 Jahren, aber crawler+indexedsearch zuverlässig zum Laufen zu kriegen, ist immer noch eine intellektuelle Überforderung für mich. Bin ich da der einzige? 🫠

@supergarv@phpc.social Würde ihnen sogar fast recht geben, wenn er nicht zu Beginn jener Woche fast nicht gewählt worden wäre und auch sonst keinerlei Führungsgeschick an den Tag legen würde. Und sein Team leider auch nicht. Sie haben also genau den Punkt rausgepickt, den man am wenigsten kritisieren muss: Symbolpolitik im Ausland, das kann er halbwegs. 😬
