@MatthewTitus88@mastodon.social @SesameSquirrel@mastodon.social Oh, this isn’t a good movie, but the fights are what keep this from being a loss. #KungFuSat

#kungfusat
I’ll be hosting #ActionMatinee in a bit, plus music from Dolly Parton and Tim Curry on #StewARama later today! Have a great weekend!
#kungfusat I mean, I’m glad we cut away from that bath scene.
#kungfusat It’s like…all that brutal sadistic training…pays off?
#kungfusat Just murder the best character in the movie off-screen? Boo to you, movie!
#kungfusat To be fair, he’s not the most unstable white guy to visit Thailand.
#kungfusat I mean, I didn’t expect a crime boss to go, “you know, drug dealing is my job, but my side hustle of killing people for snuff movies is my true calling!”
#kungfusat Oh boy, hang in there because our undercover cop has the most insane dramatic reaction coming up in about ten minutes.
#kungfusat “Hey man, I got into the snuff movie business to have fun, not murder people!”
#sundayfunnies This seems ridiculous until you remember KJI actually kidnapped a filmmaker and for years forced him to make a kaiju movie until that filmmaker eventually escaped:

#mondayactionmovie I will note the Gamera trilogy from the 90’s is maybe the best this whole series ever got.
#hustletv You’re never really prepared for pet monkeys in the house.
Fun time as always. Thanks #tvmysteries gang!
I’ll be hosting STOP MAKING SENSE on #CultShelf later tonight, plus #ActionMatinee and songs about Japan on #StewARama on Saturday! Have a great week!

@analgesicsleep@mastodon.social I’m sure my recommendation list on Tubi is bolloxed every time I program Sleazy Summer Fridays on Cult Shelf. #LaEsoterica
#fridaythrillerclub I’ve watched multiple ripoffs of Jaws in the last few weeks (The Last Shark, Cruel Jaws) that basically rip off that hilarious gas can demise from THIS movie.
And with that, thanks #CultShelf brethren! Tuesday, it’s RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD PART 2! Until then, take care and get some sleep!
#westwed Going home. Something lost, something gained.
#westwed
I really do enjoy these two playing off each other for this part of the movie.
#westwed Well, I don’t think that little dinner assuaged our grandmother things are going well.
#westwed Yeah, somehow a shotgun death seems light for that lady.
#westwed It is odd to see a regular of Mike Leigh movies playing a shady North Dakota matriarch.
#fridaythrillerclub Will note for the sci-fi crowd we’ll be watching PROJECT HAIL MARY on #ImpromptuTheater Monday the 13th.

@secretlybatman But this wouldn’t be as fun to watch without them, more like the opposite for me. #MondayActionMovie
#westwed George, this seems like a really bad idea.
#westwed “This woman I married but can’t figure. Who doesn’t believe there’s a world besides this one, but believes a horse has a soul.”
#westwed “You know what life will be. Here or there, you know. This isn’t something you need to think on.”
#westwed And things go from chilly to bad.
#westwed Well, we just got to chopping off fingers.
#westwed Don’t think George is making it through this.
#westwed And enter Jeffrey Donovan!
#westwed Because if you didn’t think this family was messed up before you met the sons, here’s Lesley Manville as the matriarch!
#westwed “You let it known you’re looking for a Weboy, they’ll find you.” Not encouraging.

The Donnas - Take It Off (Official Video)
#westwed “Maybe the horse belongs to her.”
#kungfusat Meanwhile, in another movie….
#kungfusat Oh man, that snuff movie business was about to be bought out by David Ellison too!

And with that, thanks #CultShelf brethren! Next week, we got Luc Besson’s SUBWAY and Larry Cohen’s SPECIAL EFFECTS! Until then, take care and get some sleep!
And with that, thanks #CultShelf brethren! Next week, it’s SLEEPAWAY CAMP II and THE KILLER! Until then, take care and get some sleep!
