i feel so useless during moves, cause I can suddenly drop.

if it's mine I feel bad having everyone move the stuff that'd be dangerous for me. I can carry small stuff I'm willing to risk dropping them, but I can't make that call for others stuff.

Sure I'm door bitch and van guard, but that's it.

A few years ago I made myself a promise, that I would never let myself go through the hell of the worst this disorder has again.

I made so much progress over those years only to watch it all nearly vanish overnight.

I can't and won't go through that hell again, I have some autonomy over that.

vim has made me scared of keyboards. Careful not to fat finger dG and not dF. Fearful of the eldritch horrers of ex and it's g command can invoke on one's soul.

yet through years of taming this beast I have saved at most 10 seconds

@jiub@not.an.evilcyberhacker.net yeah, pipewire has the benefit of working (mostly) compared to pulseaudio. However I found pulse easier to... "control" (read as "abuse"). Pipewire seems like a black box of "only using pwvucontrol", and anytime I use another tool my brain turns to soup.

@jiub it's impressive how much pipewire is an improvement over pulse but still a heaping pile of shit. What are we meant to use, JACK?

@gemini0 the ideal solution is to represent all that data as nodes/objects and sync that over the network via the high level functions sending raw data is harder, but I can help

Malware's barely changed in a decade, APTs are boring, security is moving backwards. Like you don't even need to wait and formgrab some creds anymore, just abuse edge's "feature" of loading all creds in plaintext

RE: @HitchhikersGuideQuoteBot2@mastodon.social

Hitchhikers Guide is the only fiction series I ever finished. I barely got through "I have no mouth but I must scream", forced myself to read 1984, and am still 5 years into finishing Fahrenheit 451.

That is to say, it's good. It's funny, witty, surreal, and made me cry.

The books are the best way to enjoy Hitchhikers imho. (yes I've seen the TV show, I even have the radio play __script__ in my bookshelf, the books are just better)

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/new-stealthy-quasar-linux-malware-targets-software-developers/

This bleeping computer article feels "wrong". I would not have categorised the components that way. "RAT Core" being the c&c only feels wrong but I guess it technically wrong?

New stealthy Quasar Linux malware targets software developers
BleepingComputer

New stealthy Quasar Linux malware targets software developers

A previously undocumented Linux implant named Quasar Linux (QLNX) is targeting developers' systems with a mix of rootkit, backdoor, and credential-stealing capabilities.

@gemini0@labyrinth.zone at furcon, can't check code. Consider experimenting with https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tutorials/scripting/gdscript/gdscript_exports.html to as much as you can to get everything into some nodes/scenes/objects. That __should__ be what the engine will handle with high level networking

Replying to
@gemini0@labyrinth.zone if you have that data represented in the scene through nodes and properties (easier said than done sometimes), then the high level networking functions __should__ magically be fast. To quote the docs "In summary, you can use the low-level networking API for maximum control and implement everything on top of bare network protocols or use the high-level API based on SceneTree that does most of the heavy lifting behind the scenes in a generally optimized way."

@gemini0@labyrinth.zone I can't vouch for any youtube videos specifically, but if you search for "godot high level networking" you should get a decent starting off point
