O Canada. Here we come (next summer)! Assuming all goes according to plan.
We've had plans to head north for some years now. The main reason is for our kids... originally so they would get citizenship just to have more options in life, go to school without active-shooter drills, and so much more. Then C-3 went into effect in December and the kids now have citizenship (mom already did). Now I'm the only outlier.
We're looking forward to settling in Canada, enjoying the beauty of BC, a different pace of life, and embracing the change.
Every time I have to use ParentVUE for anything, I wonder how much the broke school district is paying for this terrible, terrible software. ☠️

I wrote a thing about a thing I made! I've integrated GitHub Copilot deeply into my work, and very little of it involves writing code.
I've made Copilot accessible from everywhere with full context into my work, including my notes, emails, calendar, chats.
The coolest (IMO) part of this isn't the tool itself; it's the fact that something like this can be built as a personal hobby project with the AI coding tools available today. This wouldn't have been possible just a short time ago.

@rysiek@mstdn.social I think the proxy is more about bypassing places that block Signal for client-to-server connectivity, so I'm thinking it probably doesn't apply here.
