Sure, consumer-grade (affordable, that is) FPGAs have some constraints that limit what you can (re)create with them.
But that's perfectly fine with me, as I don't see the need to reproduce modern systems that are still available.
Many details of emulation via FPGA (cycle-level accuracy, parallel execution, low latency, and more) are unique to this kind of emulation, and deserve to be tried - especially considering the relatively modest price of recent Mister clones. (2/2)

Exactly! Families - broadly speaking - must educate, keep track of and be responsible for their kids.
These governments initiatives are just excuses for controlling the populace.

Buona domenica!

I was just helping someone decode a cryptic answer, not making any considerations about it...
Personally I'd even doubt whether the original poster was making some kind of suggestion, perhaps :)

Look at this from a different perspective: if they're after GrapheneOS and Signal, it's because these product are very good at protectingb their users.

@echo_pbreyer@digitalcourage.social They don't give up, huh?
It's the 3rd time (or possibily more) they try to pass this.
I'm getting nervous, sooner or later they will manage to get what they want, I'm afraid.
Who's pushing for this, if you happen to know?

Security by obscurity never really worked, in this age of shared knowledge is even more evident.
Now go explain that to people whose livelihood depends on secret tricks...

@Tutanota@mastodon.social @GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social The very same term "side loading" makes me mad, it's just loading what you want on an OS you've paid for
