@wonziu@ioc.exchange I especially love how simple the algorithm is. I'm sure back then they had to do a lot of optimizations and write it in Assembly, but the general idea instantly clicks and is fun to code.
For me personally the best voxel game was Outcast, it was so beautiful in some areas.

@wonziu@ioc.exchange Yeah, I know. You could see it in the low resolution, I think I played it in 320x240 or so when other games where SVGA already. Still ... the atmosphere and immersion was great.
Anyway, I don't know if I will do anything with the technology. I was thinking of a simple Magic Carpet like game maybe. ;)
An updated demo of Mops & Mobs is up on Steam and itch. We added a Japanese localisation for the INDIE Live Expo, but hopefully we'll also have Japanese in the full game.

So I actually did have time and I really concur with everything said in the video. Well done! I do recommend watching Strange New Worlds though, it has charm and some of the old TNG fun, as much as it is possible with NuTrek
