Doing the things I know for sure I’m going to miss a lot when I move. It was a long weekend - wellness break given at work :)

mastodon 4.7.3I dabble in #photography especially #birdPhotography. Sometimes #iShootFilm too. I also do a little bit of coding during the weekdays for a living.
Love to hike and bake on other days ;-)

What I come home to from work ;-)
Had to endure the deriding remarks of some of my North Indian friends today and I could not give any excuse for the collective stupidity of my people back home 🤦🏾
Had to dig deep into my archives to try and calm myself ;-)
A snow goose from the winter last! I know not if I will get to meet another one the next winter in Merced. Hopefully another one at another place 🤞🏾
Logging in after quite a long time… Been a little busy with “life” choices ;-) 🤞🏾Not been able to do any serious birding as well… Hopefully soon…
Here’s something from the archives in the meantime - a time when I could not have imagined I would be besotted with birds of the feathered kind for the rest of my life... This bee-eater was spotted in Jodhpur... #bird #photography #birdPhotography
upupa epops ;-)

@mattblaze@federate.social Your image of the strip is so lovely! We are just back from Las Vegas. Took some guests to watch the fireworks on July 4th. Probably the only city where I came back without making a single image 🤦🏾. My son was so nauseated with all the smell of tobacco and weed that we ended up sitting in a quiet corner of the Bellagio’s lobby while the whole city was out there in front of the fountain. I feel it is one of the most overrated cities in the US. Maybe my priorities are different…

@sundogplanets@mastodon.social what atrocities we have to put up with/fight against that passes in the name of technology 🤦🏾 This is what will happen if a handful of wannabe technologists with absolutely no idea of what they are doing get their hands on a a whole load of money with no governing bodies to rein in their madness…

@sundogplanets@mastodon.social from one side that want sunlight-as-a-service to red street lights to reduce light pollution. This is science and pseudoscience working at cross purposes 🤦🏾

Filed taxes! One question in the end was whether I wanted to open a special investment account for my kid! As tempting as a tax deferred growth account for my kid sounds… the name of the account just reminded me of that PMCares scam back in India 🤦🏾
An investment account named after a man who bankrupts everything he manages??
