After I calmed down from this horror I did some quick fix with piece of rope and random stick I found on the ground. At the campsite I tidied it up with tent pegs. The pegs keep the rope twisted so it is in tension and don't fall of. #biketooter

You know that when you get puncture after puncture its time to change the tire. Unfortunately I only found 40mm one, going from 45mm I feel like a roadie ;-) Sometimes I got some roadside "help" with the fix from "bystanders"... Also the repair stations are nice, if they have tools or aren't damaged in other ways. Poland had bunch of them but missing so much stuff or broken down that they were unusable. #biketooter #bikepacking #biketouring

I have to say that #Sweden is great. Not too much people, wild camping allowed (with some rules), you can use quite spacious shelters and you never know what might surprise you (like someone starting steam train when you just take shortcut). For #bikepacking or #biketouring it is great summer destination, not too hot or too cold and usually nice bike paths. #biketooter

Tell me again why the flying is sooo good. I can stretch my legs by quick walk around the ship, get some fresh air, WiFi that works and prices at the bar here are similar to restaurants I have seen and visited on land. Just the landscape is quite boring. #boat #bikepacking #biketouring

I am going through photos I took since I arrived in Toulouse and one I took because of @sundogplanets@mastodon.social posts here.

It is result of experiment where they shot cubesat with small projectile (<1 g) at 7 km/s. It is displayed in Cité de l'space.

Super Guppy

This airplane was used by Airbus before they developed the Beluga. It is modified version of Guppy that was used for transporting Saturn V pieces to launch site.

While open it looks bit like it is on crosswalk looking over the shoulder for cars ;-)

Last week I was riding on this road with my #recumbent #bike and over the weekend I tried bit different transport option.

Yeah my rule still stands - my vehicles shouldn't need to be fed daily...

Only the partial autonomous driving feature intrigues me a bit.

I'm still deciding what to ride after I get to Gdansk on my #bikepacking trip. Right now I am inclined to follow the coast west to Germany and maybe getting to Denmark because then I can get direct train back to Czech Republic with my bike. What do you think #bike and #train people here will I have a spot in #comfortjet for me and my bike even if I don't book it well in advance? #biketouring #trainTravel #biketooter

The Czech trains have different vibe.

Right now group of guys boarded and after they found their seats first thing they said: give us the beers from backpack I'm thirsty already.

It's 8 am... and half of the people in my car have open beer in front of them.

@ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org some manufacturers started to make reusable ql for chains. I use pretty much only the Connex ones now as a backup, they can be taken off by hand so no need for pliers and work pretty much on all chains I thrown it at. But they are really expensive above 9speed.

I was really glad someone was pulling the horse from the ground and I just had the job of braking the carriage and holding the leads so they don't get tangled up in the horse.

Aby se předešlo nějaké velké ponorce tak se to snaží co nejvíce zpříjemnit - kontakt domů, online počítačové hry atd. Neuhlídáš vše co jde ven a dělat nějaký whitelist a omezovat to spojení je asi dost nepříjemné a složité. To že něco občas uteče tímto způsobem je jen otázkou času.

@joe from what I read in this thread I will suggest looking at something like Omnium mini-max. So front loader with one 20' wheel and one normal sized in the back, they are bit smaller but they still offer enough carrying capacity. Some guy did gravel bikepacking race on Omnium mini few years ago so it is more than capable for off-road and you can have it both as acustic or e-bike. I wrote something like because Omnium bikes can be quite pricey so maybe you can find something similar or second hand.

@mrc I just know that I had to take train to Brno on that route and some of the trains don't take bikes. I just wasn't sure. Look in to Czech signed bike routes, I love riding without a bike computer (don't need anything to tell me that I'm slacking off) they are great and everywhere.

@mrc nice loop could be train to Bratislava -> following the border north -> Břeclav -> Mikulov -> Laa -> Znojmo -> Jevišovice -> Ivančice -> Brno -> train back home. But I am not sure if the trains Budapest - Prague take bikes.

And that's the real issue - collect everything they can and nobody asks if they should or is there a reason for it. I see so much websites that doesn't need anything but have popups with several hundred "partners".

@xChaos@f.cz I am not that much alarmed by the AI "tools" itself but by the people in charge. It just feels like massive grift that big tech companies chase just for the shiny new thing that they need for the "growth". In the end it just degrades everything, can do some things badly and has just so narrow usage. I don't think that the technology is heading in the right way - huge amount of recourses goes towards imaginary AGI which is for now just bulshit generating mashines without any intelligence. If they just focused on small models for one thing at a time it would be much better use of the money.

On one hand it was quite impressive to see the nice stuff about space exploration - 1:1 model of James Webb mirror, Mir space station, Ariane 5 rocket, weather satellites... On the other hand this part of the exposition was bit of reminder that we don't exactly care about keeping this resource accessible for future generations.

@mrc here is lot of options for riding but don't expect anything flat - it is up and down nearly everywhere. What I suggested is just what I have ridden through a lot so I know that the roads are nice and varied so everyone finds some nice sections.
