@Ciaraioch According to a Chan legend a woman, respected for her deep insight, was refused to enter monastery because of her attractiveness (that would distract male monks).
After being refused, she took a dish straight from the fire and burned her face. IIRC, she then became a monk.

Yesterday my copy of "The Psychology of Software Teams" by @grimalkina@mastodon.social arrived, yay!
I've been developing and maintaining software for more than 2 decades now, dealing with tech from PHP to Scala.
But what am I going to do next, if I no longer fit the IT world, apparently run by people only interested in making more money at the expense of others? I wish so much that there were companies hiring professionals, true engineers that actually care about quality and reliability.
