Feeling youthful with my #DIY #curling stabilizer

How it started and how it's going - comparison.

He is very touchy these days, isn't he? #twitter #birdsite #elon

Today my curling club hosted farmer's bonspiel (championship) for the farmsteads across our joint counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry in Eastern Ontario.

One highlight was a jolly fellow named Johnny, but I secretly dubbed him the Bloody Baron.

I made a #DIY #curling stabilizer!

It's my first year playing curling and all the available stabilizers in the area are a bit pricey, so I decided to give DIY a go. Just above 8'' height - around the same as stones, so shoulders should be straight?

I am yet to test it out, the christening is today!

@esg@hachyderm.io Oh yes, our ice guy is former military.

@esg@hachyderm.io Makes sense! I'm still pretty flexible - don't kiss the ice per se but the dip is proper -- will report back after today. Goal no 1 is for it not to fall apart on me...

@ThatMomoGuy@mastodon.world thanks, geek

@davidr@hachyderm.io it's Supernote A6X. Kind of like remarkable 2 (both can be made more powerful by sideloading stuff)

Continuing daily sketching practice - Piccolo is such a delight to draw!

@gregorj@mastodon.lol Blazor is a great platform for enterprise web apps, I for one am loving it. Authentication bit is just aspdotnet core, which is separate to blazor. I'm sure any c# wiz would start to feel comfortable with both these things after a week or so

@piratero@mastodon.world @nasapics_bot@bots.rumiancev.com Probably some unfortunate glitch in the software - glad you're enjoying the content, though!

Today's practice - Piccolo from Dragonball Z again. Out of proportions 😁🤭
