I do appreciate this more hardline position but being completely honest, am unable to live up to it fully, partly because like for many in IT, understanding and using AI contributes a (currently small) element of revenue. I do limit it.
Similarly, I cycle and use trains when I can, or when I do drive, drive an EV. However I still sometimes fly for holidays. I know meat eating contributes to climate change and now limit it, but I'm not fully vegetarian/vegan. I buy things from big corps who I know act in racist and immoral ways. I don't particularly cut out palm oil etc.
Whilst I hope I improve, what we can all definitely do is vote and otherwise apply political pressure where we can.
