Thanks to #AI configuring #emacs to your every need is now something so easy you can do it even if you haven't spent the last 20 years mastering it and chiseling out the perfect config.
For someone like me who have been honing my emacs skills for decades I feel oddly empowered and disillusioned at the same time. I do have nostalgia for the pure effort some changes would have taken before the invention of AI. These days it feels like changes and exploration come free of effort.

I enjoyed this read and now I'm full time experimenting with light themes with meaningful background highlights everywhere after running wombat or other dark themes for ages.
It was good while it lasted #android.
I know I'll be spending more time with my laptop come september.

Just had a #bash epiphany, started a long running job and reminded myself I needed to run something else on completion but I forgot to && append next action.
As I suspected C-z to put process into background and then just fg && next_command will let me amend without aborting and editing last command.
#Firefox decided to upgrade itself and restart (on osx) got some sketchy question about allowing it to contact devices on the local network or somesuch, absent mindedly said no and then it wouldn't start, nothing happened trying to launch it, no error dialog. Had to reinstall the bugger. This is what #macosx has become, piece of shit.

@mgd@mastodon.green I had in fact not seen this, at first glance it looked kind of similar to what I've got going but there are differences mainly my more excessive use of background highlighting where prots theme seem to still employ more foreground coloring.
Some would think having so many partners might qualify as being a bit promiscuous, but I'll assume there is no money changing hands so its probably A-OK!
