@Catlynn@nerdculture.de Cool! Yeah, they're fast. I used to have them in my neighborhood all the time in Albuquerque, NM. It was always amazing to me to see them take off like a plane: they run to full speed, stick out their wings, then glide up to a rooftop.

@Harpocrates@infosec.exchange I'd argue it's a vuln if it could affect your confidentiality, integrity, availability, etc. The threat actors don't care who's in control of the interface. That's why vendor management policies are required by all the infosec compliance frameworks.

@Harpocrates@infosec.exchange 1) Maybe, if you can (at least theoretically) exploit something that can give you the position you need to execute the attack. Something like a bad trust boundary assumption.
2) Yes, if I'm understanding you correctly. A compromise in one component could be escalated because the downstream system is overly trusting input. When multiple applications are involved, it's not much different than having an application that can send a xp_cmdshell command to SQL server, and a SQL server configured to accept it.

@alice @actuallyautistic This is fantastic! One thing I've been going through is "is it Bipolar?" I've taken all the same tests for autism as you have, and score high as well on many of them

@futurebird @BenjaminHCCarr I remember hearing a theory that ionizing radiation from space, and presumably radiosynthesis, may have been a contributor to the crazy animals that existed during the Permian. I don't remember the source though.
