@floyd @chbmeyer @pentagrid It has to be added that our disclosure process is very clear about the point that the information and any follow up questions are free of charge and this is communicated in the very beginning. Nevertheless beg bounties may have shaped vendor's expectations and communication and not for the better.

@skaverat @pentagrid I wonder if --letters had the same effect, but I am afraid it is too late. It could be that the terminal may have several rooms associated with a booking ID and that is the reason for the list mode. The application is running on Windows and it feels like an application from the 90ies. Maybe it is more likely another storage backend than SQL.

@lnp@podcasts.social Die Telefonkarten in DE waren tatsächlich eher schlecht geschützt. Tron bastelte seinerzeit einen Komplettsimulatoren-PoC (siehe Cover #Datenschleuder 53). Später implementierte die Telekom ein Challenge-Response-Verfahren, was vielleicht noch eher etwas "kryptografisch" ist. Das hat er sich dann unter dem Mikroskop angeschaut und IMHO auch rekonstruiert. Als Beispiel wäre PayTV geeignet. Der Markt war schon immer größer und der Wettlauf beschleunigt.
