Nik Kantar

I tried booking a house tour and referenced “Saturday” in the note.

New moto key tag!

After 300 miles of riding around SoCal this weekend, two house rental applications are in. 🤞

I hope this housing market doesn’t kill me before we actually get one. 😬

Hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe

First rental application rejection received, but fortunately for the less preferred of the two we applied for, so I’m still holding out hope that this will have been unreasonably easy. 😅

Every email notification now triggers “omg, is it a rental application result?!” 😅

The last time I remember for sure going to the DMV was years ago, and I arrived an hour before opening only to get into a line that already had 20 people in it. Today I arrived 50 minutes before opening and there’s no one here.

It’s raining today. I forgot what a pain in the ass that is with dogs who don’t enjoy rain. 🥲

I wrote a little bit about this year’s @NorthBayPython@social.northbaypython.org, which was fantastic. Shoutout to all the organizers, volunteers, speakers, attendees, and sponsors. :yay: #nbpy

Driving to #PyConUS daily was probably a mistake. Lesson learned for next year.

#nbpy, I love you. ❤️

Booth 726, come say hi! #PyConUS

Hard to keep up with #PyConUS whilst being busy with attending… 🤔

Today I got my 3D printer working again by swapping out the gnarly hotend with a fresh one. It was a great example of postponing something for a month and then needing less than an hour to actually do it. 😐

RE: @jong0uld@fosstodon.org

This is the kind of stuff that makes me love this community. Sorely needed in this market. ❤️ #PyConUS

Attending my first actual talk: “From Graveyard to Glory: Production Python in the Browser” by @mahmoud@qoto.org! #PyConUS

neurodivergent : neurospicy = neurotypical : neurobland

I will not be taking questions on this matter.

RE: @socalpython@fosstodon.org

I’m sadly not at #scale23x, but some awesome humans are. ❤️

So glad @pycon@fosstodon.org will require masking, but so disappointed by the complaints about that.

With the overlap of the marginalized and the immunocompromised, this can reasonably be seen as an inclusivity issue, making this sentiment effectively “inclusive, but only if convenient”.

Due to how this model was designed, only 1.23 g of one color will be used for the print, and 105.73 g will be wasted on support, purging, and tower. 🥲

10/10 would lawl again.

My brain still keeps reading cloudisland.nz as “cloud is land dot en zee” and at this point I think that’s nonnegotiable.

So, uhh, I think I want to get off this pricey and unnecessary domain for my presence here, and thus need a suitable subdomain on nkantar.com.

Feel free to chime in. :thank_you:
