I've thought of Garmin/Polar for heart rate etc., and to not carry my phone when going running, and maybe hiking to include a compass as well. Not to wear normally. But I'm not paying for something that requires an account, so I've just been using the Out-Run app that's entirely local, and how Apple's own fitness app also does tracking, hopefully entirely local. (But you need a **** account and phone numbers to install anything.)
