@the_drifter@mastodon.social Der Zyniker in mir sagt "weil sich dann die fossilen nicht mehr lohnen!?" Ich finde negative Strompreise wären ein super Anreitz für den Ausbau von Stromspeichern. In real werden die Erzeuger aber eher die Einspeisung abschalten als dafür zu zahlen. Ich vermute das gleiche "Problem" wie bei Negativzinsen. Es wäre auch fair die den Endverbrauchern weiter zu geben, aber das würde ja das Geschäftskonzept von Banken kaputt machen.

@MoritzGlantz agreed. Achieving good UX is f'n hard. Especially when the world tries to reinvent the whole UI tech stack again and again the exact moment the tech gets mature enough and people experienced enough to produce good results.

@remmy@social.treehouse.systems I dunno, switching from "what time is it somewhere else? before or after here?" to "when are working hours/midnight/the weekend there?" doesn't seem such a stretch to me, but that article sure does not show any imagination wasted on how to deal with that.
