Just making sure the car is his shiny thing.
Summer means he prefers it outside! #catsofmastodon #caturday
He’s hiding in the shade of the trees and bushes, so … throwback to last year and a cosy cat. #whiskerswednesday #catsofmastodon
For #whiskerswednesday . This is #notmycat in our garden. Needless to say our cat is unhappy with this turn of events.
Late #whiskerswednesday as this one, now sleeping peacefully, decided that playing the Hokey Cokey from midnight to 7am was the best game ever.

One of my favourite sleeping kitty photos. So completely tired. #whiskerswednesday #catsofmastodon
May have made the cat square-eyed.
I put cat tv on for him one day last week and now he comes in and *looks* at us until we put the birds/fish/mice etc., on.
Exhibit A
It’s incredible. America has gone from the ‘Russians under the bed’ McCarthy era to having a president that appears to be a fifth columnist.
He thinks he’s leaving a legacy.
Infamy isn’t legacy.
Personally, I don’t watch the #londonmarathon for the athletes breaking the three hour mark, even though that’s impressive by itself.
I watch for the people running for their families and charities - the ones dressed as a sausage or a post box …
Overnight, a total of 4 reform people who were elected have had to resign, including the holocaust denier.
This SHOULD be a wake up call for all those who chose to voted that way, tbh. #ukpolitics
The basis for this application was granted in 2018 - when Tories were in power. Theresa May was the PM at the time.
Thus the argument and bluster.

It’s 33°C ( 92° F ) and the cat prefers being outside in a bush to being in the house, because even with our air coolers it’s stifling inside. #ukheatwave #ukweather
Edited to add it’s gone up a degree in the last hour to 34°C …
Today has been 32°C.
It’s still 27°C with 60% humidity at 21:50.
Dew point is around 17°C which technically should be pleasant enough.
The air coolers are on full blast, the jet fan ( air circulator ) is still on. The cat had chosen outside as it’s apparently cooler than the house. Still sweaty.
To say this is not enjoyable is an understatement.
*Want to paint the brickwork white/cream so it will at least reflect some of the ambient heat.
PS: For reference the average June/July temp in the southern half of the UK is 20°C

Looking forward to my grapes at midnight, even if I haven’t soaked them in Anis! 🤣

Can we please stop giving grubby little men the attention they don’t deserve?
Also, allowing your AI to nudify people without their awareness or consent breaks Europe’s GDPR, privacy and nudity laws as well as the online safety bill in the U.K.
Ah, the orange fool and his lackeys proving once again that intelligence and integrity aren’t involved in their decisions or thinking before utterances. #villageidiots

*slightly political stream of consciousness, please ignore if it’s not your thing* .
There’s been a lot of information on boat movements around the UK made public recently.
A lot of sabre rattling and manufactured outrage by the usual useful idiots, but the analogy I have is this:
You have two small children in a class of ten.
One is obviously vying for attention by misbehaving because ANY attention = good attention.
The other is simply watching the noisier child, waiting for the moment and observing whether the noisier child will hit someone.
Here’s where politicians perform in exactly the same way as 3 to 5 year olds, just with bigger toys.
The noiser, either neglected or spoiled one will elevate behaviour to see if the other quieter children will hit them first. Then scream that they’re being bullied if that occurs. This is known, learned behaviour.
Supposed adults behaving in this manner is a sign of never learning boundaries or arrested development.
However, observable interaction doesn’t make someone weak, it’s intelligence gathering.
Proof of a pattern of behaviour, before action of any kind. Sometimes it’s background information, sometimes obvious - but always a clear marker that there’s some sort of issue.
That’s where we are - that pattern, observe, intelligence gather and make sure no blame is assigned if action is required.
