The #Signal bashing is really something else. First one of the main criticisms was “You can’t have an account without a phone number.” Well, now you can (or will soon be able to), but are people happy? No! Now the song goes like “I want an Account without a phone number BUT NOT LIKE THIS!” 🙄 Yeah well then go use another messenger and try to get people to join. Good luck. In the meantime, #SignalApp is still the most accessible and privacy-focused alternative to #WhatsApp out there.

@cstross@wandering.shop Im a bit hesitant about avherald, he did peddle some weird conspiracy theory promoting a documentation he made around the crash of Germanwings 9525… It seems there is no hard evidence right now. Wouldn’t rule it out either, it’s still Boing / Air India…

@randahl Please verify this stuff before posting the first time. I get the gleefulness but lately I have the feeling you want things to be true…

@wffl @lenzgr Maybe @nlnetlabs has something available

@vikxin @cstross @NanoRaptor This is fantastic. Just put that search into @kagihq and while the first results correctly stated that this is not real, further down there were a hand full of AI slop sites that I blocked from results and reported to #Kagi. Making my search even better.

@nlnetlabs @wffl @lenzgr Understandable, wish you all the best, be it job hunt or financial stability.

@crcollins I would say you read with your eyes and your mind makes sense of the stuff you read. Same way it makes sense of the stuff you listen to.

@upahead@indieapps.space Thank you very much! Funny, I had to delete the widget and re-add it to see the new options. Looking colorful again. 🥰

@cstross I can tell you from personal experience, it’s a lot of fun. There is more radioactive materials around than I would’ve guessed before.

@afelia@chaos.social Bei uns reicht inzwischen schon der erste Buchstabe vom Nachnamen. Es ist zum Haare raufen.

@upahead@indieapps.space Thank you for the update! Would it be possible to get an option to get the more colorful widgets back even when the phone is in dark mode?

@MonaApp@mastodon.social The Quote Post / Repost buttons have changed places or something else with the positioning is different. My muscle memory always hits quote post in the new beta when I want to just boost something.
