Our cottage burned down. I have burns. My wife cut her leg on a piece of rebar while fleeing. And this happened to us four times today—for four different rescue teams—during the volunteer firefighters’ “Rescue 2026” drill. I really enjoyed it.

Want to follow developments in the war in #Ukraine, but only have 5 minutes a day? Then you'll want to follow this account.
I updated my workstation to #Fedora 44 Beta. I reported two issues. And I submitted a pull request with a fix for one of them.
Crumbs from #sotm CZ: Curious how #OSM changed over time? Check this page by @tom_k@mastodon.social: https://kasparkovi.net/osm/#&layers= You can select a date (back to 2006) in the drop-down menu and see what OSM looked like. The Czech Republic only.
Are you curious about what a software developer's job is really like? @FrostyX@fosstodon.org has this nice channel where he works on issues and thinks loudly. Almost no edits. Just raw work with all the dead ends. @frostyx-unscripted@www.youtube.com #Fedora

Dear Artemis crew. Just so you know. If things get bad, I’ve set up a backup system to monitor your operations. I’m keeping an eye on you.
Knižní tipy. Akorát bych potřeboval 10 let, abych to všechno přečetl.

@hughsie I am using https://koofr.eu/ It has a Linux client, you can sync more than one folder (I sync two), you can sync more clients. It can sync photos from phone, and it is EU-based. The only con is that it is not open source.
If you sail, then you want to check these 3 new apps https://www.skipper-tools.com/ It works offline, no ads, for free, and it does what I need.

@mcepl We had this problem too with Copr's cgit interface to dist-git. But the problem was that for big instances the cgit takes minutes to render a web page. So basically one visiting user was enough to DDOS the site.
Replying to
@mcepl Nope. It just postpone the problem. I.e. I set up cache TTL to 5 minute. Cgit generated one page in 2 minutes. Then 5 minutes system worked and then was again DDOSed by rendering new page. IMO cgit is suitable for single small repo. Anything else should consider something else: Gitea, gitlab, fogejo...

@organicmaps Unfortunatelly OrganicMaps does not show waymarked trails. So for hiking in hills I use different app.
Replying to
@aenet @organicmaps They exist in OSM. Check, for example, https://hiking.waymarkedtrails.org/ OrganicMaps does not highlight them. And consider them as normal paths. But OTG difference between path and way marked trail is like between track and highway (while both are highway=* ).
