I was away overnight, during which time Gemini nearly perished from loneliness and despair. According to her (as communicated by a combination of grunts, chuffing, and waving of paws in the air), the only remedy is for me to lie on the floor next to her and skritch her tummy until she falls asleep.

@Meznor@mstdn.social @owlsintowels@mas.to I'm going back to University to become an ornithologist and dedicate my life to finding new species of small owls in rainy climates, and naming them variations of Moist Owlette (this will be the first one named, obvs) such as Greater Moist Owlette, Admirals Bars Owlette (after the stripes on the wings & being an admiral, probably moist a great deal of the time), Indignant Moist Owlette. Hopefully after my death someone will name the Mighty Big Moist Owlette after me.
