Insisting we have to motivate people rather than targeting policy makers and big businesses only shifts the blame. People get the story. Political elite & the rich get the story too. But the latter has no interest in changing because they don’t want to give up power. We need to take power from the elite and give it to people. Not hope. People have hope, it’s a muscle.

Anyone who thinks it is an option to not take sides on this issue is absolutely delusional. You either stand against murder or stand with it. You have a choice but no choice to not make a choice. She uses her platform because she knows she has to make a choice.

Never mind the 24,000 dead 70% of whom are women and children… Before lecturing her you should straighten up your own priorities.

As we debate here, UK and US are bombing Yemen. If the Suez Canal closed, if the conflict grows we will have real environmental consequences. One of the main causes of the war in Gaza is water. Suggesting that we should care about the environment but forget about the local people in conflicts is equivalent of gardening in a desert.

Yes, we are also Neanderthals. And the original pollution started with animal farming… what is your point. If you think Ukrainian war is a legitimate issue but 24,000 dead Palestinians is a distraction, you need to revise your morals.

It suggested that the conflict in Gaza is a small issue or a distraction for the climate activists. That proposition is wrong and that is why I commented to begin with. The topic is about the Middle East and environmental activism. Not one or the other. If you don’t like this fact:topic, you shouldn’t be here.
