I stared at this for like a minute. It’s just sad to think that the goal is a “feed-worthy photo”.
I get it, I know what they mean. It’s not bad to want to take photos to share them. But also words mean things and what are you doing if your goal is to fill someone else’s “feed”?

Related: one reason manually updating your apps is great is you can delete apps you no longer need right from the update screen! So in addition to intentionally reading the notes and seeing what’s new, it serves a tidying function as well.
There is some art on my hotel room wall with a little bit of technical information on it, and I couldn’t figure out what some of the numbers meant.
I thought “this would be a good thing to ask an LLM and see if it could answer.” But then I didn’t, because I’m on vacation.
Today staring at the wall again, I figured it out on my own.
I think there’s a lesson there.
Trying to use my iPad Pro as, you know, a “computer”:
• this project is just a single HTML file (that does some JSON fetching and displaying)
• there’s no way to take a local .html in Files and load it into Safari
• I install MS Edge which at least offers itself as a receiver of local files and can load the page
• Webkit blocks fetch() command on local HTML pages and so I just cannot do what I want to do, from this thing that pretends it is a computer
I’m happy to report that Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary holds up on a second reading. I love it, and am so excited for the movie!

But also I’m noticing a new mini delay (0.8-1.0 seconds maybe?) when I tap on the mini player before it animates up the Now Playing view. It shows the tap down highlight during the whole delay.

I saw Of Monsters and Men last night, and it was incredible. I don’t see tons of shows, but I’ve been listening to them since 2013, and a song of theirs was the last to close out the night at our wedding party.
7 musicians on stage with an incredible range from contemplative and haunting all the way to strobe light rocking out cacophony.
Also I gotta say, AirPods Pro with Adaptive mode handily beat foam earplugs.
