Gas is over $5, my groceries cost more than ever, and tech is getting astronomically expensive. Wasn’t the whole argument for putting the worst person in the world in charge was that he was going to fix these? They’re all worse than ever.
I mean duh, but idiots thought this 🫠
18 months ago I didn’t know what Jet Lag The Game, Taskmaster, or Dropout were, and now they’re my main wind down entertainment after a long day.
I snarked about this earlier today, but Indigo is really rad. The auto-detection of the same person on different derives is really clever!

I'm not the most heated liquid glass critic, but shit like this is why it riles people up so much. This is straight up barely-legible garbage.
They said it couldn't be done! A new A Better Computer video!
I don't know where this “liquid glass was designed for OLED” theory came from, but it's wild. I use macOS on OLED every day, and my issues are exactly the same as everyone else's.
1. I got literally these examples in my replies when I posted about this recently. It’s notable coordination in the “how would you like it…” reply guys.
2. Changing the race of actual people is not the same a changing fictional characters. It *can* be done when done with intention (Hamilton), but it’s rare IMO.
3. For some fictional chars, their race/gender is core to their story, but for many, they’re white because the default has been white forever.
I'm not here to shill my friend's app, I'm here to shill for an app I genuinely love.

I just think more people who say “I’m not racist or transphobic” should ask themselves why they only get loud about stuff like this when it’s black or trans people.

Due to life reasons, April was a tough one for my running goals for the year, but I’ve kicked it into gear in May.
My 14th micro-app is actually a skill, which can help you clean up your podcast and video transcripts. it includes memory of host names and proper nouns common in your show.
Shout out to my "it's just fancy autocorrect" peeps…this is fancy auto-correct!

Hopped on a flight yesterday and walked by not 1, but 2 people in first class using MacBook Neos.
Everybody loves these lil cuties.

Reaching the "just ship the damn thing" point with a big project. For someone with a bunch of apps out there, this one makes me more anxious than any of them for some reason.
It’s amazing to me how many people still get confused by this. Also, Apple emails you a detailed receipt for each charge so you know exactly what you paid for.
I built the read later app I'd always wanted
The next version of Quick Subtitles will include watched folder support, and it feels like I’ve given the app superpowers. It’s so fun building the transcription app of my dreams 😅
Here’s an upsetting thought: the PS5 Pro just got a price increase to $900. One would expect 2027 to be when we see a PS6, which will surely be better and more expensive than the older console…
How much does the PS6 cost in 2027 or even 2028?
Surely it won’t be cheaper than their last generation offering, right? So what’s most likely?
1. PS6 launches at $1,000+
2. Somehow prices come down and PS6 is…$700 🫠
3. PS6 makes zero financial sense and doesn’t come out for many years
RE: @matt_birchler@mastodon.social
Saw The Format again this weekend in Denver, and this time had the iPhone Air with me. I still got a few good photos, but it really made me appreciate the difference in capabilities between this and the Pro.
No raw, longer exposures, generally softer/painterly images, and waaaaaay worse zoom (I was meaningfully closer this time).
We’re getting @tinystartapp@nileane.fr and Raycast 2.0 in the same spring? It’s a great time to be a fan of launchers in macOS 😀
Quick Reads extensions for Chrome and Safari both got updates today to improve their article parsing.
