@themipper You mean VAT MOSS? Itch handles it for you if you use the "Collected by itch.io, paid later" payout method. They even have proper payout receipts unlike most of the American storefronts.
Installed Linux again - this time I'm trying out Elementary OS. While it's by far the cleanest and simplest distro I've ever seen, it still took the whole night to setup my gamedev tools. There's always something weird no matter what you try to install.

"Texture mapping" might be a bit misleading, since the renderer doesn't actually support textures. I'm only sampling a single color from the midpoint of the triangle UV coordinates.
Suddenly feeling really defeated again. I just want to make games, but can't really afford even one day a week with these numbers.
One thing that I really like about Linux (elementaryOS) is how snappy it is. Windows 11 always takes time to ponder the meaning of life before anything happens.

@themipper @Kaution Don't know how GOG is these days, but in the past they were very picky. I never got my game there.
Refactored my Playdate mod player library last night to allow a custom cache location. I also wrote a little lua script to resample the instruments on a PC. Together these changes allow loading a mod using prerendered 41.4 kHz samples without the need to do heavy calculations on the device.
I'll update the lib and documentation later after I've verified that everything works on both Windows and Linux.
I throw up a little in my mouth whenever someone asks for a good "expert" on "Chinese medicine". In China only actual doctors or pharmacists are allowed to practice traditional medicine, for a very good reason. People buy into dangerous bullshit.

Oh, and I use spherical coordinates now. Rotating around the Y axis is cheap, others not so much.

Here's a 2x subdivided icosphere. Transformations run at 8 fps, so it's mostly just for cool still images.

@scoopr@mastodon.social In Lua 5.4 the numbers are internally double, int or uint depending on the last operation. Bitwise operators are actually pretty standard, but you obviously have to guess the underlying type. Binary buffers on the other hand are really funky as you operate them through strings.
